A Posh Halloween Wedding in Black & White

My favorite holiday is coming up fast: Halloween!  I just love everything black, white and wicked. My inspiration today is a posh Halloween wedding in black and white. A black-tie event for a Halloween wedding makes the holiday very special and glamorous.

If you decide to get married on Halloween, have fun with it; this is your chance to dress over the top, choosing a black gown or a white gown with black lace on it, paired with top hats and funky modern suits for the guys.  You can do so much with your attire, decorations, food and beverages.

A Halloween wedding doesn’t have to be cheesy or gimmicky; stick to a color scheme like black and white, and keep the details subtle with hints of the season. Use some elegant black candelabras for your reception lighting, and white pumpkins for your place settings or as part of your decorations. If you’d like to be more edgy and are looking for more of a Goth feel, include skull patterns in your details to set the mood. I like the use of the bold damask pattern or black lace for Halloween. It’s elegant but at the same time can have that wonderfully “creepy” Halloween feel to it. Enjoy and get inspired!

don’t want to spend a fortune, becaue I’d like to get several for the wedding..can you offer any suggestions at
all? Thank you for all your help…

  2. Hi Angela!

Check out UniqueTableTopRentals.com for their 31″ 5 Arm Candelabra. Also, check out this Black Rocco Candelabra, a great baroque design on modern acrylic. I’ve seen these go on sale for $30 on this site. View a sample table top picture with this candelabra style here at Social Couture. Hope these help!

If you’re mentioning Halloween AND weddings in the same breath, then Party City might be the starting point. Huge inventory of a href=”http://www.partycity.com/category/halloween+costumes.do”>Halloween costumes and supplies, and also a fair selection wedding themes.

Chances are you’re getting married more than once — you may as well get married non the cheap. Nothing creepy about that.
