I came across this very unique engagement party invitation highlighted on the Wedding Paper Divas blog, and thought it would be a fun idea to share. Get this: Andrew, the soon-to-be groom, had written a book titled “The Boy and the Girl Together” back when he was just six. Luckily, his mom saved it over the years. It was the perfect element of uniqueness and personalization that he and his fiancee Jami were looking for to create a totally one-of-a-kind invitation!
Andrew and Jami spliced their own story and images together with that of Andrew’s six-year old self, with a little help from a scanner and image processing software. How cool is it to incorporate your past into a celebration of your future together! If you’re lucky enough to have any such treasures from your past–perhaps hidden away in a box in the attic–maybe there’s a time-defying gem in there that can speak to your relationship now from across the years!
