Do you have a beloved family dog that you’d like to have present on your wedding day? Is he well-behaved in public? Why not include your special family member as a ring-bearer or as part of your bridal party? Spiff up your pooch in a special outfit or wreath and have him walk down the aisle, too! If your reception area is enclosed, give him free reign to roam, and include him in your wedding portraits.
Like children, dogs can be unpredictable–especially in new places and among a large number of people. If you don’t quite trust yours doing the job on their own, have him walk down the aisle as a companion to your ring bearer on a leash instead.
If your wedding ceremony or reception site doesn’t allow pets and you would still like to include yours on your special day, take creative pictures of your pet to display with your table numbers, place settings, favor notes, or any other special details. Some couples even go as far as including their faithful four-legged friends in their wedding vows!
